10 months

Hey little man,

We've been your parents for 10 whole months now.  We can't believe it.  You've literally grown so much this month- its been amazing to watch.  You are so fun!

You have a favorite color now.  Blue.  Blue. Blue!  If we set an array of colored toys in front of you, you invariably pick the blue one.   From blocks to rings to cars if its blue you grab it first.

You also learned some cool new tricks this month.  Two of which were climbing the stairs and taking out every tissue from the tissue box.  You can guess which one had us laughing and which one now has us scared to death.  You are becoming so independent and while you have always been good about entertaining yourself, you can play with your toys for long periods of time and have a blast.  You like to study things and look at them from every angle; flipping them around, turning them upside down, etc.  You love things with wheels and banging things together.

You also love watching Bella walk around and you think she is so funny.  In general, you love all animals and think they're neat to watch.  This month we went to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, Busch Wildlife and are making the trip to Orlando this weekend to go to Sea World for the first time.  We predict you're going to LOVE it.

While you spent most of the month practicing cruising around the furniture, you can now take a few aided steps as you push around your walker toy before pushing it on your knees.   You are getting so close to walking on your own and all bets are that you will take your first unaided steps around your first birthday.

This month you made the switch to being a formula-fed baby and handled it like a champ.  You eat three meals a day and love fruit.  You scarf down your breakfast of fruit and oatmeal or yogurt everyday.  You tried chunks of watermelon, cantalope, honeydew and pineapple this month and liked them all very much.  You're still unsure of puffs of any kind.  At dinnertime, you insist on trying to hold your own spoon so we usually give you one to hold while we feed you.  This month you learned how to suck from a straw and can now sip water from your sippy sup with a straw and can feed yourself with the food that comes in pouches.  Its been awesome to watch you learn and master so many new things.

You also made this month special for momma because she got to celebrate her first Mothers Day.  What a blessing it is to be your parents.  Thank you for being such an awesome little person.  We love you so very much Xavier.

Love,
Mom and Papa
