shots

X was a trooper and got his 2 month shots yesterday.  He took it like a champ and was finished crying by the time the nurse left the room.  He had a slight fever last night but is feeling much better today after some parental TLC : )

You can tell he doesn't feel the best here- but seriously-how long are his eyelashes?!

2 months

Xavier,

We can't believe we've known you for 2 months already.  Time sure has flown by!   You've grown so much it seems this past month and we are so proud of you.

You can now go to sleep without being swaddled like a bug in a rug and like to sleep with both your arms raised by your head.  Most nights you sleep for at least 6 hours in a row with makes us so happy.  It's so fun to come and greet you in the morning- you always wake up in the best mood.  You are smiling at us all the time now and its so fun to see you smile as you wake up.

Almost as cute as your little smile, is your new hobby of sticking your tongue out.  Along with that you've started to make sounds and noises to try and communicate with us.  It's unbelievably adorable.

You still like to pull on your ear and suck your bottom lip in to soothe yourself.

You also really enjoy tummy time now and practicing standing up.  You have really strong legs and can almost bear all of your own weight if we hold your arms for balance.  Your head is still a little wobbly when you try to hold it up yourself but everyday you are getting better and better. 

We got a Baby Bjorn for you to hang out in and you enjoy going outside and taking walks in it.

Bathtime is getting better and you are enjoying the warm water more and more.  We've come to realize that you do not like your feet to be tickled.  You do not think its funny in the least bit.

You still love to eat and eat an average of 30 ounces a day.  You love to eat so much now that sometimes you get angry when we try to stop feeding you so that we can burp you.

You got your first cold this month and are still a little stuffy.  You take lots of naps in your swing and on your pack and play napper to help your nose.

Its so fun to see you develop more and more each day.  You still love to play on your gym, listen to stories, and go for drives and walks but now you are much more interactive and its such a blast.  Thanks for being such a great baby!
