Holy cow! In just a few short weeks you will be one year old. Unbelievable. It's gone by sooo quickly! But I guess we're jumping the gun a bit though and should talk about all you've been up to this month. You've been a busy boy!
You've mastered waving to people, clapping and telling us you're done eating by shaking your head when we ask if you would care for more. Its so stinking cute. Papa also taught you to make Indian noises by moving your hand back and forth over your mouth. Its your new favorite pastime. You are not walking yet but are still cruising everywhere and pushing your walker around more confidently and for longer periods of time. You can stand all on your own. We know walking on your own is right around the corner.
This month you celebrated your last day at daycare and Mama is so happy to get to spend her summer break with you. She's had a schedule jam packed full of fun things to do. You've been up to see grandma and grandpa at Flagler Beach, visited the Alligator Farm, the Marine Life Center, the River Center, been to Storytime at the mall and at the Library and to every park in the city. You've met Mama's friends for playdates and met Papa for lunch. You've had such a good time and Mama has too!
You are eating so many different things now and are finally eating finger foods instead of sucking on them and then spitting them out. You've noshed on puffs, cheese, blueberries, beans, chicken, banana and even some of Mama's sandwiches.
You love swimming and are so happy in the water. Whether it be in the backyard splash pool, bathtub or a real pool- you love it.
Some things that you don't enjoy are: getting your diaper changed (its like wrestling a alligator), getting strapped in your carseat and having your nose wiped. These are all things guaranteed to make you unhappy for a few seconds but the rest of the time you are in a such a great mood. You are one happy baby.
Well we better go, gotta start planning that party of yours!
