Bouncing one minute, sleeping the next
Joe and I were eating dinner and watching X go to town in his jumper when we noticed it suddenly got quiet. This is why. Too cute!

4 months
Xavier,
What a month you've had! From starting to teethe to rolling over to your first Thanksgiving and long car trip you've been a busy little boy!
This month you turned into a fountain of drool. It's like a faucet that won't turn off. We are now well accustomed to walking around with wet spots all over our shirts. We can see that your two bottom teeth are trying to come out and think that they will soon. You are trying to help them along by sticking as many fingers in your mouth as you can. While most nights you are sleeping through the night, your teeth have caused you a few nights of restlessness.
Right after the fountain of drool started, you learned roll over all on your own! You can roll from your back to your belly and you absolutely LOVE it- it's all you want to do. If we put you down on your back and look the other direction 9 times out of 10 you are already on your stomach. (Keeping us on our toes!) You haven't figured out how to get back the other direction yet so you get mad sometimes because you are stuck. Your doctor said that you mastered the hard way first and most babies go the other way when learning to roll. What initiative you have : )

This month you have really enjoyed your bouncer and can really get going. Spinning everything and pushing buttons and listening to the music is so fun for you.
You celebrated your first Thanksgiving up in Flagler Beach at Grandma and Grandpa Pegg's condo. It was your first long car ride and you did wonderfully. Grandma and Grandpa were so happy to see you and you enjoyed all the love and attention!
We saw some cool jellyfish on a walk.
You have now decided that you're new best friend is Marvin the Monkey (sorry zebra). Anytime Marvin is around you talk up a storm to him and it is hilarious. You enjoy talking a lot in general anyways and sometimes you sure have a lot to say. As we've noticed though you are not a performer and will not do anything on command. So if you are talking up a storm and we try to take a picture or video or get you to talk to someone on the phone you will immediately stop and clam up. Pretty sly.
It's been a exciting month watching you grow and learn. Thanks for continuing to be the best baby. We love being your parents!
